In 1999 LEGO StarWars released their first collaboration, the “7140 X-Wing Fighter”. The 263-piece set included Luke’s X-Wing and four minifigures: Luke, R2-D2, rebel pilot Biggs Darklighter and a rebel mechanic. 25 years and millions of bricks later, LEGO is celebrating its most popular collaboration with the release of five new sets.
The Millennium Falcon #75375
The flagship set in LEGO’s new collection is one of Star Wars’ most iconic ships, the Millennium Falcon. Starting in 2000 with the release of set #7190, the Falcon has appeared in several sets over the years, from the 101-piece micro-fighter to the 7541-piece Falcon in the ultimate collector series (UCS).
With 921 pieces the newest Falcon falls somewhere in the middle. While previous versions have all included minifigures like Han and Chewy, this doesn’t, opting instead for a 25th-anniversary plaque and display stand.
With a more refined look and lack of minifigs, the new Falcon is recommended for ages 18+. While this doesn’t prohibit younger builders, it’s worth noting that this set is designed more for the LEGO displayers than the LEGO players.

Tantive IV #75376
The Falcon might be more iconic, but the Tantive IV was first.
Appearing in the opening scene of A New Hope, the Tantive IV is the name of Princess Leia’s starship, a C90 Corvette also known as a blockade runner. Although Leia is captured on board the Tantive IV by the empire, the ship survives, appearing again in Episode IX: Rise of Skywalker. After leading the resistance fleet to the planet of Exegol, the Tantive IV is eventually destroyed by Emperor Palpatine’s Sith lighting.
The new Tantive IV set is a 654-piece standalone set with no mini-figures, again opting for a display stand and 25th anniversary plaque. Another medium size build, the set captures the general silhouette and maintains some details like the ship’s six turbolasers and 11 engine thrusters.

The Invisible Hand #75377
The good guys aren’t the only ones getting a 25th anniversary set, for the first time LEGO is releasing General Grievous’ Providence-class Dreadnought “The Invisible Hand”.
The Invisible Hand appears in Episode III Revenge of the Sith, when Anakin and Obi-Wan rescue Chancellor Palpatine after he is captured by General Grievous. The flagship vessel of the Separatist Navy, the Invisible Hand was originally owned by Nute Gunray, Viceroy of the Trade Federation but under orders from Darth Sidious its command was relinquished to Grievous during the Clone Wars.
Although the Invisible Hand is a significantly bigger starship than the Falcon and Tantive IV, the LEGO version has been scaled down to 557 pieces, making it roughly the same size as the previous two sets. Although its design is condensed, the set captures the Invisible Hand’s silhouette well, with its torpedo-like chassis and distinctive observation tower. It also includes minor details such as the Hand’s front ion cannon, reflector-shielded hangar doors and a decal of the Separatist logo.
A General Grievous minifigure would have been nice, but like the other ships, this set doesn’t come with minifigures. Regardless, the debut set of the Invisible Hand is an exciting release, especially for hardcore collectors.

R2-D2 #75379
Moving away from starships, everyone’s favourite R-series astromech is back, and this time, he won’t cost you a kidney.
In 2021 LEGO released a 2,314-piece ultimate collector series R2-D2, but many people found its $300 price tough to justify. Although this new R2 isn’t cheap, at $130 it’s much more affordable. The 1,050-piece R2 is another display model but with “playful” features including a 360-degree rotating head, attachable tools, periscope and third leg, allowing for several different poses.
Unlike the starships, this set includes an R2-D2 minifigure and a special edition “Darth Malak” minifigure. For the uninitiated, Darth Malak was a Sith Lord in the Old Republic era who appeared in the 2003 video game “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic” (KotOR).

Boarding the Tantive IV #75387
When Rogue One was released in 2016 one scene immediately became an instant classic. Eight years later LEGO has brought the scene to life with the release of set #75387 Boarding the Tantive IV.
As a group of rebel soldiers fight off the enemy stormtroopers invading the Tantive IV, they suddenly freeze in terror as an ominous sound approaches from the shadows. They can’t see who’s approaching, but the sound of wheezing, mechanical breathing only means one thing in Star Wars, Darth Vader has arrived. In a flash, the previously dark hallway ignites with a pulsing red glow revealing the terrifying Sith Lord in all his glory as he cuts through the helpless rebel soldiers on-route to secure the Death Star plans.
With 502 pieces and seven minifigures, LEGO’s new set pays homage to the bone-chilling scene in Rogue One. Unlike the other sets on this list, this one is designed for action and is equipped with a series of levers that can open doors and topple minifigures. But, if playing with LEGO isn’t your thing, the open design allows builders to configure the scene however they want, making for a unique display.
A fantastic set in its own right, Boarding the Tantive IV also includes a special edition minifigure of Arc Trooper “Fives”, a beloved character in the animated Clone Wars series, and an elite clone trooper in the 501st battalion.
